- Hi,
-
- I just bought a Canon LBP-430 laser printer. I tried it out first on
- my IBM clone and it worked fine. I then downloaded the drivers for the
- Amiga and hooked it to my Amiga 2000. When I tried to boot, the
- computer just locked up. I unhooked the printer, and the computer
- booted fine. After double checking my cables I tried booting with the
- printer hooked up again. This time the printer FRIED ONE OF MY CIA
- CHIPS! I have replaced the CIA and have my computer working again, but
- I need to know WHY the printer fried my CIA chip and WHAT I can do
- about it.
-
- I have used Canon BJ-200's and Epson Stylus 800's on my Amiga 2000
- without any problems! What is different about this Canon LBP-430 laser
- printer? Does anyone know????
-
- PLEASE, any help would be GREATLY appreciated!
